On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, Women Cell of K. L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad organised an expert talk on ‘Women Rights’ on 24 January, 2026. The program aimed to raise awareness among students about women’s legal rights, gender equality, stereotypes and protection available to women. The event started with a welcome speech followed by Sapling distribution. Ms. Jyoti Goyal, Practising Advocate and Founder of Toli Foundation was the speaker of the event. The speaker delivered an engaging talk on various aspects of women’s rights including:
- Legal rights available to women
- Laws related to sexual harassment at workplace, gender discrimination and domestic violence
- Importance of women empowerment and education
- Real life case studies and examples to illustrate challenges and solutions
The talk was very interactive with students participating in the Q&A session.
