The Department of Home Science, under the Kala Sangam Club, successfully conducted a workshop under the short-term course titled “Saundarya Beauty Training” on the topic “Beauty and Makeup.” The workshop aimed at enhancing practical skills and professional awareness among students.
The workshop was conducted by experienced and certified professional namely as Mr. Mohit Mishra(Makeup Trainer) from Lakmé Academy, a renowned institution in the beauty and wellness industry. The sessions provided valuable insights into basic and advanced makeup techniques, skin preparation, product knowledge, and current beauty trends. Live demonstrations and interactive discussions helped students understand professional standards and industry expectations.
The program was organized under the able guidance, encouragement, and constant support of the Principal, Dr. Meenu Dua and the Head of the Department, Dr. Sangeeta Kulshrestha, whose leadership and motivation played a vital role in the successful planning and execution of the workshop. Their continuous efforts in promoting skill-based, career-oriented and experiential learning initiatives greatly contributed to the overall success of the program.
The workshop was coordinated by Ms. Benu Mehta, who ensured smooth planning and effective execution of the program. Ms. Bhawna, who is currently working as an instructor under the College Short-Term Course, also actively contributed to the workshop by assisting in demonstrations and guiding students with practical insights based on her professional experience.
The workshop proved to be highly beneficial as it offered hands-on exposure, boosted confidence, and opened avenues for career opportunities in the beauty and wellness sector. Overall, the workshop was a great success and aligned well with the objectives of skill development and experiential learning promoted by the Department of Home Science.
