The Department of Computer Science organized an Session on the topic “Session on Achieving Problem Solving Fit”(Theme: Innovation and Entrepreneurship) on 29th Nov 2025 to guide students in validating their identified problems and aligning them with practical, user-oriented solutions. The resource person, Ms. Sonali Rajput, discussed the importance of understanding user needs, gathering feedback, and refining ideas through continuous iteration. Students were introduced to innovation frameworks and learned how to structure ideas into actionable solutions. A total of 70 students actively participated, contributing to discussions and sharing insights. The session enhanced students’ understanding of problem analysis, solution development, and innovation-driven thinking. Types of Cyber Attacks: She discussed various types of cyber-attacks, including phishing, malware, and ransom ware, highlighting their impact on individuals and organizations.

The Phytozootech Club of Department of Sciences of K. L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad organised an activity titled “The Hidden Heroes: Microbes at Work for Humanity” on 17 November 2025 . For the Activity students prepared various fermented foods and probiotic drinks like Fermented Ginger alle,Ginger lemon probiotic drinks,Kanji,Ragi ambali,Kimchi and Bio-enzymes showcasing the practical role of microbes in our daily life. The students worked in teams, demonstrated excellent coordination, and displayed great interest throughout the event. The activity helped them learn about the significance of beneficial microbes, develop scientific temper, and enhance teamwork, creativity, and communication skills. Overall, the activity was highly informative and engaging. It provided students with hands-on learning experience and deepened their understanding of the importance of microbes and how fermented foods are healthy for us. Dr. Anand Mehta, President MDES visited the club’s exhibition, appreciated the students’ efforts and performance, and encouraged them for their excellent work. The event was successfully conducted under the consistent support of our Principal, Dr. Meenu Dua, whose vision and encouragement play a vital role in promoting such academic and skill-enhancing activities in the college. Her motivation enabled the department to conduct this meaningful event for the students. The activity was enriched by the Head, Department of Science, Dr. Beena Sethi and Dr. Shveta Arya, who continuously support innovative learning practices and encourage active student participation in departmental programs. Their leadership helped in creating a positive learning environment for the activity. The event was coordinated by the Club In-charges, Dr. Mamta Singh and Dr. Priti, along with other faculty members of the Department of Biosciences. They guided the students throughout the activity and ensured its smooth and effective execution. This workshop aimed to introduce participants to the ancient Indian system of mathematics, its principles, and techniques. The workshop sought to enhance mental calculation skills, improve problem-solving abilities, and foster a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. *Overview:* Under the guidance of Respected Principal, Dr. Meenu Dua, Mathskeeters Club has organized a One Day Workshop on Vedic Mathematics. Club Incharges & HOD of Science Department Dr. Beena Sethi welcomed the Resource person Ms. Vandana Kumari with a sapling as a token of gratitude. 50 Students attended the workshop with full enthusiasm for learning the basic tricks of mathematics that will help them in their real life calculations & competitive exams too. Worksheet Link was also shared with students to practice the tricks taught in workshop.Students expresssed a high level of satisfaction with the workshop content, facilitation, and organization.During whole workshop all faculty members of Mathematics Department were present .The Session was smoothly conducted by Dolly & Sakshi ( president & vice president of mathskeeters club). *Conclusion:* The Vedic Maths One-Day Workshop was a resounding success, providing a valuable learning experience for participants. Women Cell of K. L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad organised an enlightening seminar on ‘Financial Education ‘ for the members of Women Cell and students of Multi Disciplinary Course (Financial Literacy) aimed to create awareness among young students about the importance of financial literacy, savings and investment options and security planning. The session began with lamp lighting. The resource person for the session was Ms. Jyoti Kapoor (SEBI Smart Trainer). In her address, the resource person discussed various aspects of personal finance, including budgeting, banking habits, digital payments, mutual funds, insurance, and retirement planning(NPS), CIBIL score etc. She emphasized how basic financial knowledge can help students make informed financial decisions and avoid common money-related mistakes.The speaker also encouraged the students to start small savings habits early and take advantage of government schemes specially designed for youth and women. Principal Mam, Dr. Meenu Dua appreciated the efforts of Women Cell in organising such as educative program and motivated students to actively participate in financial learning activities. The program was organised by Convener Ms. Madhu Saitya, Co-conveners Dr. Babita Singh and Ms. Komal Malhotra and co-ordinated by the office bearers of Women Cell.The seminar concluded with an interactive question-answer session where students clarified their queries. The Department of Political Science, *K.L. The theme of the event was *“Reforming the UN Security Council: Why India Deserves a Permanent Seat?”* The event was *convened by Dr. Madhurima Dubey and Dr. Babita Singh*, while the judging panel included Dr. Babita Sharma from the *Department of English* and *Dr. Pooja Tyagi* from the *Department of Hindi*, whose insightful evaluation and encouragement added academic depth to the competition. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad, in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross (YRC), organized an Expert Talk on the Issues related to Mental Health. The session aimed to promote awareness about the importance of mental well-being and provide valuable insights into maintaining emotional balance in today’s fast-paced world. Ms. Sandeep Kaur Oberoi, a Certified Counselling Psychologist, Child Counsellor, and Family Therapist, served as the resource person for the event. She shared her professional expertise on various aspects of mental health, emphasizing stress management, emotional regulation, and the importance of seeking help without stigma. The interactive session encouraged students to engage in open discussions, reflect on their mental health, and adopt healthy coping strategies. ‘World Mental Health Day’ was observed on 10th October in our institution to spread awareness about the importance of mental wellbeing. The event was organised under the guidance of our respected Principal Dr.Meenu Dua. A special team of medical representatives (Ms Preeti Yadav) and (Ms Sumantra) from B.K Hospital was invited to interact with students and highlight the significance of maintaining good mental health in everyday life. The session focused on breaking the stigma around mental health issues and encouraging students to speak openly and seek help when needed. The Resource persons also shared practical tips for stress management and emotional well -being. To encourage student’s participations and creativity, a slogan making competition was organised on the theme Mental Health. Many students actively participate and express their thoughts through powerful and meaningful slogans.1st prize in slogan writing was given to Kulsum from B.Sc Biotech, 2nd was given to Payal Bhadana from B.A 2nd yr and 3rd was given to Chhavi from Bsc life Science 1st year. The event was conducted by the YRC Councellor Dr.Shveta Arya and Councelling & Mental Health Support Cell Members Dr. Mithlesh Aggarwal, Dr.Veena Pani(Nodal Officer), Dr.Neha Jain and Ms Kritika Vaid(Coordinator). Students enthusiastically participated in the Mental Health awareness rally carrying slogans that promoted positivity, self-care and emotional strength. Dr.Anand Mehta, Chairman of (MDES), and the Principal Dr. Meenu Dua were also present in the rally. The rally aimed to encourage open discussions about mental health and to remove the stigma surrounding it. YRC Councellors Dr. Shveta Arya and Dr. Babita Sharma were also present in the program. DISTRICT LEVEL ESAAY WRITING COMPETITION A HSCSIT-sponsored District Level Essay Writing Competition was held on 8th October 2025 at Pt. J.L.N. Government College, Faridabad. Around 200 students from B.A. Second Year enthusiastically participated in the seminar. The resource person for the event was Dr. Neha Jain, Head, Department of Computer Science. Our Principal Dr. Meenu Dua Mam, guided the students and encouraged the students with her presence. Ms. Nancy served as the anchor for the day and conducted the program efficiently. Dr. Neha Jain shared her insightful views on Artificial Intelligence and its importance in Web Designing. She further discussed various AI tools such as Chat GPT, and Google Gemini and their benefits, emphasizing how AI technologies are transforming the field of web development by enhancing creativity, functionality, and user engagement. More than 50 Students also created websites on the spot with her guidance, enriching the session and making students enthusiastic about web designing. The Department of Physical Science conducted an Essay Writing Competition on 4th October 2025 in the Physics Lab under the able guidance of Dr. Beena Sethi, Head of the Department of Science. The event aimed to encourage students to express their thoughts creatively and enhance their writing skills on scientific and contemporary topics. A total of 22 students from various streams enthusiastically participated in the competition, showcasing their talent, originality, and depth of knowledge. The competition was organized smoothly, with proper arrangements made for the participants. The essays will be evaluated by Judges – Ms. Anjali and Dr. Babita Sharma from Department of Humanity and the results will be declared on 6th October 2025. National Wildlife Week Celebration (2nd–8th October 2025) Theme: “Wildlife Conservation: Investing in People and Planet” The Department of Science, K.L. As part of the ongoing celebration, a Wildlife Documentary Screening was organized on 6th October 2025. The documentary titled “Chilika – Jewel of Odisha” depicted the natural splendor of Chilika Lake, India’s largest coastal lagoon and the world’s second-largest, highlighting its biodiversity, migratory bird populations, and endangered Irrawaddy dolphins. It also reflected on the lake’s role in supporting local communities and maintaining ecological balance. Students watched the film with enthusiasm and curiosity, gaining valuable insights into the interdependence of humans and nature. The Wall of Pledge served as a symbolic initiative where students signed their commitment to conserving nature and maintaining ecological balance. Throughout the week, Principal Dr. Meenu Dua played a pivotal role in motivating the students. The ‘Counselling and Mental Health Support Cell’ of ‘K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad’ in collaboration with ‘B.K.Hospital(Civil Hospital), Faridabad’ organized an awareness session on 10th September 2025 to mark World Suicide Prevention Day and to promote Mental Wellness and Well-Being of Students. The session was facilitated by Ms. Sangeeta Natarajan, Life Skills Trainer and Motivational speaker. She highlighted the importance of overcoming self-limiting beliefs, nurturing a positive mindset, and developing self-confidence to achieve personal and academic goals. Through interactive discussions, she engaged students in reflective activities to understand their strengths and ways to cope with stress effectively. Furthermore, the session was graced by experts from the Mental Health Department, Civil Hospital Faridabad: Ms. Preeti Yadav, Clinical Psychologist, working in the field of suicide prevention and drug de- addiction treatment and Ms. Sumantra, Psychiatric Nursing Officer, specializing in mental health support and awareness. Both the resource persons shared valuable insights on early detection of mental health concerns, stress management, emotional well-being, and the importance of seeking timely professional help. They also highlighted the role of empathy, family support, and community awareness in preventing suicides.Dr. Meenu Dua Ma’am, Principal of the college, appreciated the efforts of the Counselling and Mental Health Support Cell in organizing such meaningful sessions. National Nutrition Week Celebration Date: 7/9/2025 The Department of Home Science of K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad, in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Faridabad Central, organized the celebration of National Nutrition Week with great enthusiasm and zeal. The Women Cell of K. L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad organised an expert talk on the topic ‘PCOD & PCOS’ on 29th August, 2025 with the objective of spreading awareness among young girls about Polycystic Ovary Disease (PCOD) and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
The event was graced with the presence of Principal Mam Dr. Meenu Dua and convened by Ms. Madhu Saitya (Convener), Dr. Babita Singh and Ms. Komal Malhotra (Co-conveners). The programme was co-ordinated by the office bearers of Women Cell.The resource person for the session was Dr. Mansi Kumar, Associate Professor and Senior Gynecologist from Amrita Hospital. She delivered an informative and engaging session on PCOD and PCOS, covering its causes, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and management of these common yet often neglected issues. Dr. Mansi explained the difference between PCOD and PCOS in a simple manner, and emphasized that early diagnosis and lifestyle modification play a crucial role in managing these conditions. She also highlighted the long term health implications of these issues if left untreated. The session was highly interactive.

Awareness Program on Traffic Guidelines As per the orders of Hon’ble Director General of Police, Haryana and under the guidance of Police Commissioner Faridabad and Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic, Road Safety Club of K.L.Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad in collaboration with Community Policing Cell organised an awareness program on “Traffic Guidelines” on 29th August 2025 at 1:00pm in auditorium aimed to create awareness among students regarding the use of traffic rules and guidelines. Ms. Sunita (Police Inspector), Mr. Manoj Kumar (Chowki incharge) explained to the students about traffic rules such as following signals, wearing seatbelts, obeying speed limits, and using zebra crossings are essential for road safety and prevention of accidents. Key rules include always stopping at a red light, driving on the left side of the road, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles. To make the event successful, the efforts and cooperation of the Principal Mam Dr. Meenu Dua was highly commendable. An awareness programme has been organised at K.L. Mehta College NIT. The motive of this programme is to aware the students about bad effects of drugs and fight against the drugs. Under the guidance of Principal Maam Dr. Meenu Dua, The ANTI-DRUGS CLUB has organized an Awareness program on Nasha Mukti Abhiyan In Collaboration with Community policing cell on 29 August 2025 in College Auditorium. Ms. Aggarwal shared valuable insights on the fundamental steps of establishing a startup, including idea generation, business model development, financial planning, risk management, and the importance of innovation in today’s competitive world. She emphasized the significance of perseverance, networking, and adaptability in entrepreneurial journeys. ONE-DAY WORKSHOP ON SAP A one-day workshop on SAP (System Applications and Products in Data Processing) was organized by the Department of Commerce and Management at K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad under the guidance of the Principal Ma’am, Dr. Meenu Dua and IQAC Coordinator, Ms. Amita Dureja on 23rd August 2025. The workshop was convened by Dr. Rekha Goel(HOD, Dept. of Commerce and Management) and Dr. Sudesh Kumari. The session was delivered by Mr. Sandeep Arora, a certified SAP consultant. At the outset, Mr. Sandeep Arora announced free Excel classes for final-year students of Commerce and Management in the college premises, which was highly appreciated. He also guided students on how to use MS Excel efficiently without a mouse, making them aware of time-saving shortcuts. The workshop aimed to familiarize students with the significance of SAP in data processing and its wide applications in the business world. Mr. Arora shared practical insights into ERP systems and emphasized their role in enhancing career prospects. On this occasion, Dr. Meenu Dua presented a sapling to Mr. Sandeep Arora and Ms. Abhilasha Ma’am. The Red Ribbon Club of K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad organized an Orientation Programme and Awareness Lecture on HIV/AIDS on 21st August 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the Seminar Hall. The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Meenu Dua (Officiating Principal) . The session was coordinated under the guidance of Ms. Amita Dureja (IQAC Coordinator) and convened by Dr. Rina Prasad and Ms. Suman Lata Yadav. The resource person for the lecture was Dr. Reeti Panchal ( Assistant Professor, Dept. Of Zoology) who delivered an insightful and informative talk on HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, and the importance of spreading correct knowledge to eliminate myths and stigma associated with the disease.Special Attention was attracted through decorative tree with red ribbons and informative postures.The session highlighted the role of youth in spreading awareness and adopting safe practices for a healthier society. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The interactive session provided a platform for students to raise questions and clarify their doubts regarding HIV/AIDS. “सृजन”: 7 Day Workshop on Art in Everyday Life The Kala Sangam Club of Department of Home Science organized a 7-day workshop *”सृजन”*in collaboration with fevicryl hobby ideas from 21-08-2025 to 28-08-2025, which aimed to provide a platform for students to explore their creative side and learn various art forms. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Anand Mehta, President MDES. Dr. Meenu Dua mam , our worthy Principal presented a sapling to Dr. Anand Mehta.Ms. Archna Dua ,senior faculty of the department welcomed Sir for gracing the occasion by his esteemed presence and she also greeted Ms. Meeta Rampal. Dr. Sangeeta kulshrestha honoured Ms.Meeta with the Plant. The workshop began with a demonstration by renowned Fevicryl artist Ms. Meeta Rampal, who introduced students to the traditional art forms of Lippan, Worli, and Mandala.
Day 1: Lippan Art Students learned the intricate details of Lippan art, which involves creating designs using clay and mirrors. Day 2: Worli Art Ms. Rampal demonstrated the ancient Indian art of Worli, which uses geometric patterns to depict everyday life. Day 3: Mandala Art Students were introduced to the meditative art of Mandala, which involves creating intricate patterns using shapes and lines. Day 4: Paper Flower Making Dr. Pragati Chitkara taught students the art of paper flower making. Students learned how to create beautiful flowers using Duplex paper, stockings and other materials, which can be used for decoration or gifting. Day 5: Tie and Dye and Block Printing Ms. Benu Mehta introduced students to the traditional art of Tie and Dye, where students learned how to create unique patterns on fabric using dye and resist techniques. Additionally, She taught students the art of block printing on fabric using wooden blocks, which allows them to create beautiful designs and patterns. Day 6: Candle Making Ms. Sujata demonstrating the art of candle making. Students learned how to create gel and wax candles using different techniques and materials. Day 7: Exhibition An exhibition was organized by the students on the last day, showcasing the work done by the participants in the workshop. The 7-day workshop “सृजन” was a resounding success, providing students with a platform to explore their creativity and learn new art forms. The workshop not only honed the students’ artistic skills but also provided them with a unique opportunity to interact with the artists, learn from them and deepened their appreciation for India’s rich cultural heritage. The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from 40 students of BSc Home Science and BA programs. As they mastered various techniques of art, the participants were immersed in an enriching experience that blended tradition with creativity. Dr. Anand Mehta , appreciated the Exhibition put up by the students in which the diverse range of artwork was on display. He advised the students to use this skill as a platform for innovation, experimentation and entrepreneurship. The certificates were given to all the participants by Fevicryl Hobby Ideas and prizes were announced for the best in different art categories. Principal Dr. Meenu Dua Ma’am’s unwavering support and encouragement were instrumental in the workshop’s success. The Faculty members from the Home Science Department were present throughout, offering guidance and support to ensure a holistic learning experience. The IPR Cell of K.L. Mehta Dayanand college for Women Faridabad organised a one day seminar on the topic, Practical aspect of Intellectual Property Rights on 13th August 2025. The resource person for the seminar was Ms. CS Renu Kathuria, a certified PoSH trainer and a distinguished fellow member of ICSI(Institute of Company Secretaries of India). The event started with the auspicious lamp lightening ceremony done by our Principal mam, Dr. Meenu Dua and other members of the IPR Cell , Convener Dr. Madhu Rathi & Dr. Purnima Verma and Co-Convener Ms. Leena Bhatia along with the Organisers. This was followed by presenting a sapling to Principal mam and to the resource person as a token of welcome and gratitude. Ms. Renu explained in detail about the various Indian laws dealing with IPR and various parameters of IPR. She discussed the difference between copyright, trademark and patent with the students & perform a practical knowledge to fill trademark and copyright. The session turned out to be an interesting one as there was an appreciable interaction from the students as well. Ms. Renu went on with describing the parenting procedure and how to register for copyright. The students also asked for an online show of procedure for filing a trademark which provided clarity to the students. The session was attended by around 150 students. The seminar ended with a formal vote of thanks to Ms. Renu kathuria.
Report on Orientation Day The one day NEP seminar for the first-year students was conducted by Department of Commerce on 13th August 2025 in their respective classes. The event aimed to familiarize new students with the academic environment, facilities, rules, and support systems of the institution. It also provided a platform to address student queries and concerns, ensuring a smooth transition into college life. The event introduced students to institution’s vision, mission, and culture. This was followed by an introduction to faculty members. Presentations were made covering:

The event aimed to raise awareness about the country’s age-old craftsmanship, regional weaving techniques, and the cultural stories woven into each piece of fabric.

Further Dr. Sangeeta Kulshrestha, Head of Home Science Department highlighted the importance of preserving traditional weaving arts and supporting the handloom sector which plays a vital role in India’s economy. Ms. Archna Dua, Senior faculty member, also praised the exhibition and the efforts of the B.Sc.(Home Science) final year students. The exhibition was highly appreciated by other departmental faculty members, students and visitors. *Date:* 07 August, 2025 *Venue: K.L.Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad (Seminar Hall) *Organized by:* Department of Home Science As part of the World Breastfeeding Week celebration, a special event was organized by department of Home Science. The program aimed to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding for the health and well-being of both infants and mothers. The theme of this year’s breastfeeding week celebration was *”Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create a Sustainable Support System”*, aligning with the global efforts to promote breastfeeding-friendly environments at workplaces and institutions. The event began by the valuable and knowledgeable words of Dr.Sangeeta Kulshrestha, Head of Home Science Department who emphasized the vital role of breastfeeding in reducing infant mortality and promoting lifelong health. This was followed by an informative session conducted by Ms.Benu Mehta who shared valuable insights on the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, challenges faced by working mothers, and ways to support them through policy and social change.Nearly 100 students from various dept were present in the lecture. As part of the celebration, a Slogan Writing Competition was held on the theme of breastfeeding. Students from various departments participated and 102 participants enthusiastically, showcased their creativity and awareness.The competition was judged by Dr.Veenapani and Dr.Vinita Verma. The winners were awarded certificates as token of appreciation. Winners are as follows: 1st Prize: Ankita ( B.Sc Home Science, 3rd Year) 2nd Prize: Jyoti ( B.Com Aided, 2nd Year) 3rd Prize: Niharika Dixit (B.Sc Biotech, 3rd Year) 3rd Prize: Tanishka Panchal (B.Sc Life Science, 1st Year)| Consolation Prize: Aradhya Singh (B.Com C.A.,3rd Year) Principal,Dr. Meenu Dua, congratulated the winners and also praised the efforts of all the participants.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms.Priyanka Pawar who acknowledged the efforts of all participants and encouraged everyone to continue advocating for maternal and child health.Slogan writing competition and other events of the day were well coordinated by Dr.Pragati Chitkara and Ms.Sujata. Overall, the celebration was a meaningful and engaging experience, helping students understand the importance of breastfeeding.
A Youth Wellness Campaign was successfully conducted in collaboration with Whisper India, under the Guidance and Career Counselling Cell and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), supported by AICTE. The primary aim of the campaign was to raise awareness about personal hygiene and wellness among young female students and to encourage healthy lifestyle practices. Venue: K. L. Mehta Dayanand College, Faridabad P.G.Wing Date: 06/08/2025 Highlights of the Event:The session began with a warm welcome by Dr. Meenu Dua, Patron of the program, who greeted the organizing team and highlighted the importance of such wellness initiatives for students’ overall development. The session conducted by Whisper India focused on educating students about menstrual hygiene, self-care routines, and breaking the stigma around women’s health issues. Through engaging audio-visual content, the trainers sensitively addressed common misconceptions and provid ed practical health tips. The organizers also distributed gift hampers containing hygiene products to all participants, generously provided by Whisper India as part of their social responsibility initiative. Conclusion: The Youth Wellness Campaign by Whisper India proved to be a meaningful initiative in enhancing awareness around personal hygiene and well-being among students. Under the collective guidance of IQAC and the Guidance and Career Counselling Cell, the event successfully fulfilled its purpose and was received with great enthusiasm by all attendees
Report on Expert Talk on ” National Education policy (NEP) 2020″.

Date: 29th July, 2025 Speaker: Dr. Beena sethi Associate Professor, Department of Physical Science Participants: The seminar witnessed active participation of 130 BCA students. The enthusiastic response from the attendees reflected their keen interest in understanding and active participation. Key Highlights of the Session Dr. Beena sethi delivered an interesting and valuable knowledge in short period of time her valueable word play an important role in every student life. In this session Ma’am gave the practical examples so that students can understand the need of National Education Policy 2020. The session was highly interactive, with students engaging in a dynamic Q&A segment where Dr. Beena Sethi Ma’am addressed queries regarding ‘National Education Policy (NEP)2020’. Encouragement & Support: The seminar was graced by the presence of Principal Dr. Manju Dua and Head of the Department of Computer Science Dr. Neha Jain, who emphasized the importance of such knowledge-sharing sessions. They encouraged students to actively participate in similar initiatives to enhance their knowledge ,skills and technological advancements.
